I'm in the same boat as you being a DFW guy. I'm leaning toward PSA, and I'm an avid anti-commuter. I used to commute from DFW-IAH a few years ago and I swore that I'd never do it again. Why? The lines I typically had were 4 days on 2 days off which means if I missed a commute on the last day I only have about a day and a half off before my next 4 day adventure. At the time it was all weight restricted 145's and 135's. Screw that. I ended up renting a car half the time simply to get home.

Envoy has similar schedules to Mesa. Low productivity trips, and to me it doesn't matter if I live 5 mins from DFW it still sucks if I only have 12 days off. Gone is Gone.

If you were to commute to DCA you'd have 9 direct flights a day on 5 737 and 4 Airbuses with two jumpseats with AA non rev bennies and jumpseat rules. If you were to go the CLT route you'd have 10 direct flights on almost exclusively A320's.

Combine that with being able to SAP down to 15-18 days off a month makes it a worthwhile bitter pill to swallow if you don't want to go the Envoy route.

Just food for thought.
