Default Flight training advice

So here goes. I'm actually a little embarrassed to post this. I have failed commerical single engine three time. First time bc I didn't notice an alternator failure, second for not hitting a power off 180 and third not putting the gear up after take off. (Also didn't hit the power off 180). I have 815 hours total time (I own a Vans RV-7A), 28 of which is in the piper arrow. I went up with an instructor today and hit 6-7 power off 180's. before my last two check rides I didn't have any issues other than nerves. At this point my instructor won't sign me off (he wants another 5-10hrs in the arrow and the DPE has limited openenings and I'm working two jobs. I'm fearful that I won't be to complete it in the 60 days allowed after the disapproval.

Any advice on what I should do? Any comments, concerns, questions?

I'm thinking I should take some time off, go fly another 500-700 hours and get more confidence. I'm trying not to be discouraged.
