My point is simple, if you start cutting deals with the opentime *****s, who by the way don't need any extra motivation, we will stay at the same understaffed, ****ty condition we have been in for the almost 2 decades that I have been here. Stay home on your days off and they will increase staffing and have many more upgrades. If you do the extra work then they will staff much lower and many more will stay fo's for much longer! Sometimes we are our own worst enemies. Remember this they won't use increased opentime pickup to cover the shortage, they will try to count on it and completely quit hiring and run us understaffed again, counting on the pilots to cover the slack, just stay home and see what happens.
