QUOTING OWN2MINS Well...why has everyone told me to hold onto my 75 hr log until I get 100+ so that I'll fly. Doesn't seem I'll fly either way. It's slowed significantly lately. I realize it's not your fault....just trying to get a better understanding of the system.

Ok, one more question...why is "weather" so commonly an excuse for not being able to release people? We're pilots....you're a pilot...we can all interpret radar, progs, & tafs...and see clear/blue everywhere west of CO. We know at 7pm before 4 hard days off that it odds of being called are crazy....yet I still can't legally get released to make my last flight home after I haven't seen my own house for 3+ weeks... Sorry to vent. Once again, you seem like a good guy....I'm just sitting bored at the crashpad and felt like a good rant.

I dont have a clue if they keep track or is it on you guys. We have nothing to do with it.

Well to be honest I very seldom RLS People due to the fact im a Morning scheduler and its not practical to rls people on my shift, cause we dont know whats going to happen in the evening i leave at 4pm cause i get there at 0600. Ive never worked the night shift but the most jr scheduler typicaly work the late night shift and like i said some are afraid that the manager might yell at them for releasing people. There philosophy is your being paid to sit at home and chill why should we RLS you and get paid too. I typically only RLS A1, some A2 and inbound reserves who reported outside there window in the outstation. I cant justify RLS any a3 or beyond cause they still might be used in the evening.

Unfortunate thing is we are trained to i hate to say it kinda ignore if your a commuter. We cant take that into account. Ive tried to be accomondating to some and unfortunately i got burned a few times. Dont get me wrong i still do but now i have to look out for myself as well.

Dont know why they use weather as an excuse they could have been told by flt control to expect weather and we in scheduling dont have accesse to any radar system.

Other then i sounds better than "cause i said so" or "cause i dont want to" or "your a reserve and i dont give a s@%t cause i cant go home and its slow"

safe flying
