You were sitting there. They were across the aisle from you. You very well could have stepped in (fourth stripe or not) and piped up to the FA and said something to stop the rant and protect the Delta brand in front of the traveling public.

Or you could come on a public forum and complain about what you witnessed, and neither the operating pilots, the FA in question, or you are better for doing so.
