Blindly parroting managements message can be very harmful to the pilots. Just think about TA1. We had an ATL FO rep encouraging others to vote for TA1 because he's seen the inside numbers. Hurry up and vote yes. Hurry up and give up our profit sharing. The ship is sinking. Better get it now because it'll be gone tomorrow!
Thinking your smarter than others because you've been fed some selective info by management doesn't make you smarter than others. It can make you vulnerable. If you're in a position to represent the pilot group and you buy into this selective info, you can forever harm the pilot group.
These "company" reps are just like a naive pilot in the Philippines. Oh you look like Movie Star, Oh you are soooo smart, Oh I love you long time. Hear it enough or just arrogant enough, some might actually buy into it.

My thoughts exactly. Some guys buy into this "I have a secret" management club a little too much. They may be well informed, but it is information that management fed them. Consider the source.

There may have been some somewhat heated back and forth here, but still a less frustrating experience than the chitchat board. Man, those guys can't help themselves from getting into a cage match on about every post.
