Getting rid of Virgin is a preposterously stupid move if the goal is growth, which we are all finding it really isn't.. pretty easy to see through the rah rah Alaska propaganda spun by Pyongyang, I mean Seattle.

Outside of the West Coast, most are completely unfamiliar with Alaska. In fact most people when they first find out where I work, think I fly in the "bush" in Alaska.. and my city has a daily round trip on AS, zero flights on virgin America.. guess which airline people in my city know. Getting rid of one of the most recognizable and exciting brands in the world is a mistake... well unless of course your goal continues to be a regional airline posing as a major that flies 737s to shuttle people from Seattle to other America.

The ego of this place is constantly troubling. I don't fear losing pilot jobs due to higher wages in the JCBA... I fear losing pilot jobs when we lose a vast majority of the virgin America following because Alaska was too arrogant to keep some of their features and incorporate their name in someway.
