What did they have for the Jet America merger? A bunch of MD-80s they didn't want and eventually got rid of and a dominating presence in Long Beach.

When the Anglers abandoned Long Beach what happened? JetBlue grabbed all the slots and established a foothold on the West Coast.

Learn from history, Son. AS may keep the JFK and SFO slots, but they'll fill them with 737s ASAP. And don't be surprised if they abandon JFK, another BIG mistake brought to you by the geniuses in Angle Lake.
