Im curious reading these posts, I am currently working on my commercial multi and will have a CRJ-700 type in about 5 months. Im shooting for regionals at the moment and have no ties with the ANG. I will be married in June and I'm wondering if I should think about applying for a guard unit. If so, should I do it before I apply with regionals, or after I have completed training and am hired by a regional? Also which regionals work well with an ANG schedule? What is pay and life like in the ANG? Im not real familiar with it so as much help as I can get about my aviation career is very helpful. My ultimate goal if it helps is to get back home in Louisville and fly for UPS.(just like everyone else.) But I do have a few contacts there but anything to put me above some competition helps, like flying regionals and the ANG. My problem is that Im getting married, so I dont know if doing both will workout or not. Thanks.
