I got hired off the street into a C-130 unit that was thankfully able to avoid being BRAC'd. I had my CFI-AIM and about 800 hours and 50+ turbine multi when I interviewed, along with a 3.7 college GPA. I go UPT sometime in October.

I lived in southern IN and worked for UPS for over a year and looked at the 123rd at SDF (I'm from LEX); good luck getting on with that unit. They don't do much hiring off the street for UPT candidates as they have a long list of guys trying to network for UPS, and you've gotta have a strong inside rec to go along with a strong package (and I knew a former OPS commander there). Save your money on the CR7 type and go buy 100+ hours of multi-time instead at LOU; you'll be much more marketable for a regional job. Get your TT up to about 1000 and you can go work at CHQ in Louisville, attend Six Flags over Jesus, and join the UPS pilot networking pipeline!

Good luck!
