I miss Annapolis. I don't miss the People's Republic Of Maryland. I much prefer VA. But we couldn't stay because after we fixed up our home and sold it, we couldn't find comparable homes in our price range. Also we couldn't yet afford to send our kids to private schools. If you do find something in downtown Annapolis, you may notice the amount of section 8 housing mixed in. 😳
But I do miss McGarvey's. And the Boat Yard. And the Chart House. And Pusser's. And Ram's Head. And and and......
Mike Ashford sold McGarvey's to a group of former Mids maybe two years ago. I don't get there as often, but I understand the new owners are looking to sell. Drunk Pilot Night on Mondays was always the best. Those days disappeared after 9/11 with MetroJet going away.
