TSA "family" factor, and more questions...
I am a former military RotorHead with most of my FW req's already met. TSA's RW transition program/bonus is quite enticing and, being a Colorado resident, I am particularly attracted to the DEN domicile. I will likely be able to split my sign-on bonus between training and cash.
1) Is there any "fine print" in the contract to which I should pay particularly close attention?
2) Is TSA's contracted FBO in Florida ("Sky Warrior") "user friendly", or can I expect attempts to swindle me out of funds (i.e. delaying sign-offs and requiring unnecessary additional training, etc) ?
3) Does Sky Warrior do a thorough job of preparing students for 121 & TSA requirements (beyond just minimum flight time requirements)?
4) If I accept an offer from a major airline before my 24mo contract at TSA is fulfilled, is pay-back of the bonus pro-rated?
5) How is the camaraderie and unity among pilots / flight crews?
6) What are the three most significant issues facing TSA pilots today?
Thank you ahead of time for your responses and recommendations.
