Btw, I'm happy to work more on a trip when it results in rr pay. My reroute luck mostly resulted in shorter layovers in less desirable locations for no extra $$$. What's the point of seniority based bidding when tracking can essentially abrogate your seniority beginning on leg 2 and it doesn't cost the company a dime in most cases if they get you home in time. Glad to hear it's 'only' once a month now. Even so, I think any deviation from your awarded trip should result in rr pay.
I transitioned over from the 717 to the ER about a year ago. I've been rerouted twice on the ER. On one the Capt hadn't been rerouted in over 15 years. When we got the reroute he said "I can just turn this down right?" Uhhh no.

Having said that I found that a majority of the reroutes on the 717 worked out in my favor. Defined as more pay, less work and/or better layover. Multiple reroutes on green slips which translate to triple pay.
But they can be exceedingly painful as well. Two Christmas's ago I got rerouted 4 times in one day. Culminated with a 10 hour layover in Tri Cities. Ho F?(;ing ho.
