Be careful. Remember the type ride is technically an FAA check. An FAA examiner could walk in and say he or she is doing your oral and if they ask max temp on engine start and you say "red line" it probably won't go over too well. For your initial type ride I'd know all the number limitations at least. Once you get past that and into the real world, then "red line" is plenty fine.
