All the 88 dudes just had their training classes cancelled for the remainder of the year. A friend was set to start class in a week when his class was cancelled. Now, per our PWA, he "gets" to accept a reserve line or white slip whatever crap is left in open time...or go with no pay protection. This is another area of our contract that is lacking.
I was in the schoolhouse this week and was told some guys landed in ATL from their deadhead, got a call from Scheduling, and were told to take the next flight home. Now they're stuck on reserve unable to fly a line because they were supposed to be in training? Wow, that's a kick in the nuts.
