It's not fun but they are not stuck on reserve. They can take a blank regular line. There are probably 200 trips to pick from in open time at the moment or the even smarter move is just watch for scheduling built trips that are often great deals and pick them up as the month progresses. There are some senior pilots who do that as a matter of routine. Drop their entire line and cherry pick the open time.
