Not sure that I'm 'doing an awesome job for Delta' as much as I am 'doing an awesome job' because I still take pride in what I do. People coming into and out of NY(specifically LGA) have enough BS they have to deal with getting to/from the aircraft. Least I can do is try to make it suck less for them. Delta is just the beneficiary of my work ethic. Not doing anything 'for Delta', but I digress.

Some of us have been flying 121 15 plus years and have been providing a safe/good operation. Everyone has their reasons why they are here and why they are not. I will agree with you on one thing...the negative talk in the cockpit needs to stop. If delta denied you.....move on. Plenty of great opportunities out there.
Agreed, the generalization about all senior captains being disgruntled is incorrect. Most of the senior guys I fly with I've learned a great deal from and respect. I was referring to the vocal minority on this forum, didn't mean to make a generalization.
