That may be true but I doubt you lived through a bankruptcy contract, loss of 50% of your bases and a massive whipsaw. My experience is ALPA was horrendous.
Rank and file are the ones that vote. This contract that everyone complains about was voted in by all your coworkers. Nobody to blame but yourself in the end. You can make the case that APA brought it to you to vote on but come on, we can all read and compare. Most were blinded by the hourly rates and didn't make it much further from where I sat at the time.
