One of the things I dislike about the structure of ALPA is exactly what Trinity pointed out. OAL ALPA execs will be coaching our reps on what is best for our airline. No thank you. I don't care for external forces meddling in my business. We are better off with less bureaucracy.
What are you afraid of? Wouldn't it be in the best interests of OAL pilots to improve our contract as much as possible? It seems to me that our substandard work rules are only going to make it harder for these other airlines to negotiate better contracts.
