Actually, he didn't. He was one of the most, if not the most, vocal against it. Not that that has anything to do with this.
Few things: don't shoot the messenger. And, I have no dog in this fight.
However, it puzzles me that when a decent guy, with no ill will or intent, states that the incident has no relation to FedEx or us- that it invites speculation and/or misinformation.
Why can't we take it at face value and trust the word of a fellow pilot and hard working volunteer? It didn't cause me to speculate or give misinformation. I took his words and moved on.
For the record, it was Don Ray. He doesn't hide from anything including this issue.
The family asked for privacy. Giving out information can hurt the police investigation. So, Don just said it didn't have anything to do with FedEx. I believe him.
