Well, the issue was that the commuting MLOA day touched the first day of a trip that had to be dropped. The trip started in base at 1100, which I wouldn't be able to make. A midnight departure from my home is something I can make. I'd imagine if I called and asked them to remove the MLOA commuting day they'd either put the trip back or open an investigation as to my use of MLOA (maybe not that drastic, but who knows).
