That's a tough one.. Have you considered DAL? It's pretty simple to get from DFW to DAL via the DART. Then again, I don't know what the flight situation between TYS and DFW is.

Fewer flights to DFW (4/day) and flight time is a bit longer. I have heard that the train is a good (and cheap) option to get between DFW and DAL.
TYS-ORD seems that it would provide the best flexibility. Good mix of flights early morning to late.
