Sounds good, but do we really want this fight? It's business, and we lost. Fighting a behemoth like Boeing and their well placed friends sounds like a losing proposition. Hopefully Airbus will step in with a deal on 319s.
I agree that negotiations will begin. It ain't over. The tariff is WAAAAY overkill. Keep in mind that half the airplane is made in the US - Rockwell Collins makes the ProLine Fusion flight deck and P&W provides the engines. This is a ridiculous decision and I imagine the appeal will be vigorous. I can't help but wonder if this is also related to NAFTA negotiations...
