I doubt the company could survive any lasting strike so although its a great idea to have 15-20K saved, it would be most likely be a bridge between B6 and your next airline- hopefully AA/UAL or DAL
It's not that JB couldn't survive a strike, it's that they wouldn't want the negative press.....like I tell everyone, we don't work for an airline, we work for a PR firm that flies aircraft.....
When a CEO blows his stack, and the company blows political and negotiating capital because they don't like "Contract Above All" luggage grips because of the optics it portrays, that's all you need to know about their priorities, and what's truly important to them.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall at LSC when they're watching the big screens with local news interviewing pilots walking around in circles holding big signs in BOS, NY, FLL, MCO, etc etc......
