I agree with you. And anyone who has even remotely struggled through 121 training is taking a huge risk coming to Spirit. Training is a 5 week non AQP crash course taught by 300 hr CFI's. Systems are self taught in your hotel room after class. There's an FAA oral exam, and then 4 sim sessions to prepare you for an FAA checkride in the left seat of an A320. The first V1 cut you will see is in Bogota, the day before your checkride (seriously). There is no breathing room and I just hope pilot's understand the risk they take going there. It isn't a joke. Many good pilots go there thinking it will be a stepping stone only to get stuck with a training failure due to Spirit's rapid (ie cheap) training program.
