Are there significant gains elsewhere in the contract? Just trying to gauge what ALPA leadership considers worthy of unanimous support.
9E.

Getting 100 credit hours here as a line holder takes about 75 hours of flying. For a senior FO 100 hours may take as little as 5-10 hours of flying if all your trips are bought off so your captain can do IOE.

Reserve rules currently suck(apparently not much though), this new TA makes them better. Some lifers who refuse to commute are upset theyll get used more. You see they are ****ed because theyve been able to work the system to stay in base a little extra. Now what's happening is an across the board increase in days off for reserve, but some senior CAs on reserve just figured out they could probably get more days off on old reserve rules rather than the new system because their contract trick was removed. Now they'll get used more, away from home more, and their supposed pay cut (dont ask) will be erased by increased utilization.

Why doesn't a person like that commute? Because living in base on reserve is better than commuting for a 18 day off line in their opinion. In other words reserve is fine and getting better but if they don't yell about it angrily online people will realize that reserve ain't that bad and he and others like him won't be reserve king sitting last out.

Our work rules, soft pay and protection, lead other regionals. So not only do you make more, you accrue hours of credit faster.
