When they are setting up regulatory LCs, it is common for standards scheduling to assign a reserve pilot to a trip a couple of weeks out. I hold a line this month, and as soon as the View/Add window closed, another Captain and a LCA were added as ACMs to a trip I was on, on 4 Oct. The captain was on A rsv this month. 1 week ahead of time, on Sep 28, I was officially bumped off the trip "for training." While not a DP, it is obviously now policy for LCs to be assigned well ahead of time for pilots holding Reserve lines.
