Is this still the case for new hire 190 folks? I thought I had read recently that 190 QOL for new hires wasn't as good as it used to be but I can't seem to find it now.
I'm in the next class and we should be receiving our drop within the next 2 weeks. I'm considering the 190 if the QOL is still good however I'd eventually like to move to the bus in PHL or CLT as the commute from DTW seems decent.
The good thing about the 190 is you'll get a line or LC Reserve in just a few month. I mean to each his own but I'm not a fan of Red Eyes and with the 190 you'll stay many east coast. I do like my MSY, MSP and AUS overnights. Some people don't like the shuttle flying but coming from a regional I don't mind it every once in a while. Nice getting up every 1.5 hours.
I had choices when I was hired and after talking to my friends I took the 190 and have no regrets at all. Avg between 15-17 days off a month and haven't had to get a hotel in over 10 months and the times I did was because a WX delay got me into PHL late once and another was because I picked up a Nassau turn.
Like I said to each his own. I love the plane.
