smartass children these days.
The 777-300 bunk room has 2 beds, 2 rest seats and a dumb waiter for meals to be sent up so that crews can rest/eat/watch videos in the bunk room... if the Captain attempted to make the "Captain's Authority" response to direct a pilot not to eat in the designated area then he wouldn't be a captain very long. The older 777-200 has a designated seat in the cabin (no so on the 777-300) to use for meals/watch videos)... but that dynamic has changed. Hypothetical question since you think you have all the answers; So if a captain said he can't sleep on a double augmented flight with another pilot in the next bunk can he use Captain's authority to tell the other pilot to leave the bunk area because its a safety issue? Give me a break... this is another instance of a captain (yes small C) overstepping his/her authority. I think you need to rethink your position...
