If there are no kids, it makes things much easier. As long as neither party is going to be an a-hole and there isn't any crazy reason for the divorce (violence, etc.), it CAN be done. Also, she will probably be told she has to return to work in some capacity. The only women who seem to get a pass are those who have young children.
Mediation is fair and doesn't make the 2 lawyers the only winners in the case.
