Assuming a person is otherwise qualified, with type ratings, jet pic, 4 year degree etc, when is it just too late? My career stalled in the middle with the economy, and while I have a good flying job, it's not really where I'd hoped to be by now. Anyone have a feel for what HR & the pilot selection group view as a "cut off"? I could see an argument that if an applicant only has 10-15 years to offer, maybe it's just not viewed as a good investment. I'd like to think, given the market, that things are in my favor, but that's hard to validate.
