all,
there seems to be rumors(hard to believe on this or any forum) about all the problems in the training center. here is a list for you all with an explanation.

1. FOX- As I have posted before this is a computer scheduling program that was instituted by the company about two months ago. It puts into place all training whether its CQMV/CQLOE, transitions, requals and really any type of training that is scheduled in the simulator. In addition, the I/E's are all scheduled under this software. Grading in the simulators is done under this software. Combine this with planners and schedulers who did not move back to Denver to help administer this program, well there are many shortcomings to work out. So a host of new people who inherited this beautiful program are working tirelessly behind the scenes to try and put the pieces back together.
2. Grievances. There was a grievance accepted on fly days. Because of it many instructors are out flying(contractually correct) This has caused upwards of 40 cancellations in the 737 fleet for CQMV/CQLOE.
3. Commuting instructors. A fair amount of instructors live out of Denver because of the consolidation of 2 training centers. Many desire not to pick up overtime. (various factors involved and not their fault in the least) I would argue because of #1,#2 and other factors involved, the snowball is getting bigger and the backlog continues to climb.

--There's an argument for a staffing issue but really the problems above are at the heart of the issues. Training back logs and problems are centered in only a couple of fleets. Although I think every fleet is affected by the scheduling problems of I/E's.

This is all first hand knowledge above. I'm not spreading rumors. Now as I understand some of the ramifications are.
Unconfirmed Rumor:
1. New hire classes cancelled or will be cancelled. My personal opinion is it will until they can unstick this problem. Case in point:
2. New Hire class that just started was suppose to have 65 people and it only has 9(not a rumor, this is true) spoke with someone on PBS who allocated 4 instructors to work with class of 65 on bidding. Class is now at nine. The lovely trickle down effect.

I don't believe I typed anything malicious or pointed a finger. Just the facts and rumors where they are rumors. Happy Holidays everyone.
