That's the thing. SkyWest doesn't "own" it. The terms of the next CPA is always subject to negotiation. It's ultimately up to what United wants.

UA owns the 145. They tried to pull them to C5. I assume they would continue to do that if it worked that well.
What UA needs is someone to execute who has the pilots. I'd argue that INC/XJT is very good at executing. Maybe not a long the line of what pilots want but certainly along the lines of what UA wants. They just need to find a way to get pilots in (pay up, flow etc.)
Blackmailing SKYW on CPAs? Not sure that works either. SKYW owns the planes there.
