The fixed 8 on 7off or 7/7 is the schedule you want for QOL.

It pays less, you start at $ 51,000 but you know your schedule for 6 months in advance to plan things. The best part is that you first bid your schedule then bid your vacation on the days you were supposed to work.

So for taking a 8 day vacation you get your 7 days off on each side for a total of 22 days away from work twice a year.
That is worth the lower pay atleast to me.

I still feel the PBS is a joke, you bid 800 to 1000 lines which don’t exist and only get what they want you to have. Say bye to weekends and holidays off.

With 8/7 or 7/7 there are only 20 lines that are able to be awarded and you know how many pilots can get each line, they all exist.
Plus they guarantee you atleast 2 weekends off a month .
