If you live in one of the 6 primary bases, the most common schedule is 6 on 4 off. If you live in any of the other bases, you may be forced into an 8 on 4 off schedule. It doesn’t matter what f you bid it or not. One of my friends changed his domicile from OKC to DFW and does the 4 hour drive because he keeps being forced on 8/4s out of OKC. So don’t tell me it can’t happen! It happens on a regular basis to people in the satellite bases! Schedules are going to get worse here. The MCBA is kind of vague. Watch for management to do away with 4 day rotations and only have 5 and 6 day rotations working the weekends. You’ll be forced to bid yellow lines of 7 and 8 day rotations to get any days off you want.
