Coming to Flexjet for a fixed schedule is worse advice. At least at an airline you will eventually have some stability based on your seniority. At Flexjet, seniority is not honored at all, so he will never have any stability. And taking a fixed schedule will get him a permanent pay cut. At this point in time, there is not one redeeming thing about Flexjet for a new hire. All but six bases have forced 8 on 4 off rotations as a distinct possibility, upgrade times in excess of 10 years, and the absolute most abysmal employee relations in the entire piloting profession. Maybe in 5 years, if management get their act together, but certainly not today.
