There are multiple stories like this. Every time the person has been asked to produce the name of (or even just point out) a specific recruiter(s) who gave them the advice they are unable. Dragging Recruitment into it is a tactic people use when trying get that time off.

I’d say recruiters are very clear about choosing what’s most important...seniority vs. guaranteed availability for a special event. It would be best if the choice wasn’t necessary, but it appears that it is.

It’s hilarious how everyone on the forums act like recruiters earn a commission or something for getting people in the door. News flash, recruiters get no special incentive for lying to people to get them in the door. If anything, I’d say most of Envoy’s recruiters are wary about who they let in the door in the first place. You’d be amazed at the number of people who are “shocked” that they are either not selected to interview, or are not hired during the process (perhaps thinking that fogging a mirror gets you in). Maybe stopping by there and getting to know a few of the recruiters would put to rest the crazy myths.
