It was a “freebie.” So now many of us in this last bid, bid 200 positions in the base we wanted. Now we see in this award that none of us got the 200 awards we bid for and that they went junior to us from people that got the 200 in the classes behind us. Is this correct? I know the contract has changed since we started, and all I can find in the new contract is 18 month lock for new hires. So are we basically screwed getting to the base we want until we can hold it on the 900? Didn’t know since when we started we were on the old contract. Figured no seat locks. This makes the new hire class award a VERY big deal for all those ASA/XJET guys coming over. Thanks.
Then tell them to stay away i guess. We have 200s here, they'll be flown by junior pilots for the most part. They might go away someday, they might not.
If they want street captains they have to release all seatlocks. If the company releases any seatlock for this award (not out yet), all seat locks will be released.
I dont know why you thought you'd come here and get whatever type you wanted but we have 200s and the junior pilots will likely fly them. If the 900 is that important to you, it's probably important to the pilots senior to you.
Seriously though, Mesa has an ATL base and no 200s. If you leave and no one comes in we'll get more money or some sort of flow.
