There is no "night currency" for an SIC. The part 61 recent experience reg pertains to PIC's. 121.439 then just requires 3 landings in 90 days with no regard to day or night.
If you intend to still fly part 91 carrying passengers at night in your rental 172 or Baron, then you have to maintain your currency in category and class per 61.57
