I suppose the appeal here is that you are basically home based. The commuting game has really left a bad taste in my mouth. It's crazy that the airlines can't give up a seat for those who are legitimately going to work. Non-reving on your time off is one thing. But being unable to live in some large city or uproot your entire family if you get hired somewhere isn't always an option.
I live in ATL. The big D doesn't want anything to do with us regional pukes. Next best option I'm thinking is to feel out the fractionals that home base you.
Commuting does suck and my life is far different living in base than those that don't. I always preflight my jumpseat and ensure I'm not leaving a fellow behind.
