Perusing the technical docs... I see nothing, zip, nada that is restrictive with regards to range of our soon to be delivered jets. Every number matches the manufacturers description of the aircraft capability wise. So there is nothing to restrict Delta from using the jet to the fullest extent possible. Paying a manufacturer a fee for using it's product as it was designed sounds unlikely. The manufacturers website claims a 3100 mile range with full passengers and a typical mission profile on a standard day. They even used heavier passenger weights than we currently use. That makes any transcon city pair well within its capability. It'll be a workhorse on feeder routes, sure, but with the Boeing challenge all but put to rest, I think we'll see some interesting routes eventually on this jet.
