only problem with that statement is what are the real numbers. You wont get them on this forum.

but your point remains valid know what you're walking into and base it on the best information available.

fact is that a majority of the FOs that will qualify 1000 hours WILL be upgrading whether they like it or not, this year. whether thats 300 FOs, or 800 FOs remains to be known for sure... but either way, as an HVA hired today, they all stack on top of you the minute they go left seat.

Sure, you might get your preferred base after a couple of months, but it only takes a dozen guys "leapfrogging" you with their upgrade and guess what? You are displaced from base potentially. then you start over, get your preferred base after a couple of more months (maybe) but even still... you are on sitting ready the whole time, some of that time with a possible two leg commute half way across the country.

The question Envoy management has to ask itself is why would an HVA go to Envoy over Endeavor or Mesa etc. If "because Envoy has a flow to AA" is their answer... well... they lack vision. Most of your HVAs are probably not career Envoy pilots... i imagine most of them who do sign on the dotted line are going to get as much 121 PIC time as they can get in a year or two and bolt to a major

EDIT: envoy needs to be heavily recruiting prior part 121 guys who live in or around NY and ORD - those are the ones who this deal would work best for i think
