Not sure you can make an argument that bringing Republic into IAH meets that criteria.
As a whole , you might still be able to make that argument. If the XJT crew consists of a 20-year CA flying with a 9-year FO, and they’re moving 50 people each segment versus a Republic 4-year CA and first-year FO moving 76 people.
There’s more to the whipsaw than just pay. The NEW whipsaw uses pay (and upgrade) as bait. I’m sure that if these places ever got congested with senior pilots who get paid more and fly less.....they would start losing contracts and pilots to other regionals. XJT got to be too attractive as a place to stay......and has been suffering for years as a result.
