The distance LAX-HNL should be about 2100nm so I'm guessing a flight time of about 5 to 5.5hrs with no wind. A classic A321 burns about 6000lbs/hr so that would be about 30 to 33000 lbs of fuel plus about 6000lbs or reserve?
MTOW of 196k? and a DOW of about 106k?, that should leave with a payload of about 50-55k?
Is that about right? and is that enough to fill up the aircraft with PAX and bags?
Thanks in advance
Typical flying time KLAX-PHNL is between 5+15 and 5+40. Biggest problem with the A321 is getting it out of PHOG back to KLAX and not having to remove payload to do it.
