Hi!

Explaining a couple of things on my posts:

First, renewable energy is, obviously, what will be ultimately required, vs. using ANY type of fuel that is non-renewable.

Electricity generation:
The large plants generate X amount of energy, which is, normally, enough for peak use, which is typically 2-5 PM local time. The elec energy used between, say, midnight and 6 AM is minimal. Hence the existing plants have HUGE amounts of electrical energy generated at night that currently is not used.

Wind Turbines at FL 180:
They are tethered to the ground with a cable that will transmit the electricity to the ground:

Space-based energy:
Work is being done on orbit-based mirrors that will send solar energy to ground stations.
