Line Holders: I have to be in JFK on the 22nd anyway so you wont hurt my feelings if you get overstuffed with turkey and need a poor reserve pilot to pick up the rest of your trip.
The Chief Pilots and others in training have been telling the recurrent ground's that December will look worse than November.
I don't really understand why Delta does this ... as a wholly owned we SHOULD get most of their flying, as the profit returns directly to them. But then again, I'm just a low level employee (not some 'knight-in-shining-armor' upper management pulling in multi millions for a golden parachute after destroying employee's morale, benefits, and quality of life) so what do I know.
And if your going to be on call in JFK on the 22nd, my guess is you'll get used if you have a morning-mid afternoon window. Someone will probably feel ill... damn tryptophan in turkey's
