cancelling individual legs of a deadhead in VIPS:

VIPS now leads you to believe that you can selectively cancel legs (like in the old days) - problem "solved" - NOT!!

FOX will still cancel ALL LEGS of a dh once you cancel ANY legs in VIPS

so make sure you call Global Travel immediately after you deviate in VIPS in order to re-book the legs you "think" you didn't cancel

better yet, call GT before you deviate in VIPS and double book the flight under a separate reservation so that when the original one is cancelled by FOX, you already have the flight re-booked

bottom line is don't show up for the second leg of a commercial dh fat, dumb, and happy thinking you only canx the first leg - you won't have a ticket/reservation waiting.....this problem has not been "fixed"
