Systems is basically self taught in your hotel room after class each night. It is certainly not a course where you are spoon fed but they will give you extra training if you want it or they feel you need it. It’s a big boy course that requires a lot of work, if you think you’re going to be going out drinking beer every night you’ll be in for a big surprise. Has something changed? When I went through in '14 we were required to do a 1.5 pre brief for each FTD. That time was used by the instructor to review systems related to that days FTD. The night/day before each FTD I would review the lesson plan, watch the systems CD, read AOM 1 & 2, and prepare questions for the instructor. It is not the same as classroom with a white board and overhead but I found it sufficient.
