Then , assuming most (some) of the displaced folks want to stay in LAX, they could just get the new assignment, the 12 days of training, and bang zoom the 787 base has grown quickly by the 15 bids on the vacancy and however many 777 FOs want to move over.
The 787 production tracking shows we have 7 of the 787-10s coming by April. Not sure how quickly the rest will come after then as that is as far into the future the website shows.

When I was writing my post, I was going to make that comment - must be planning on growing LAX787, but I refrained.

They had enough time to consult the SSC; any reason why they wouldn't have done that?
