My mom and dad are well off, but they aren't paying for S*!T, and the ol' man is a pilot with 6K hrs of PIC time in the last airplane he flew. I'm proud of the fact that all the education that I have, and will have, and the licenses I'm about to complete is because I busted my rear to get, all with living on my own.
I was watching "everest: beyond the limit" last night on the discovery channel. There was these 2 kazak climbers that wanted to summit with out the aid of O2. 2 sherpas where sent up to help rescue them, and bring em O2 bottles. The climbers refused the O2 saying that they wanted to summit with out O2. They came back down hours later nearly dead, but they did it. That's how I relate it. I'm trying to summit everest with out O2! I may nearly be dead, but at least I did it the way I wanted to. (with out my parents help)
